# you know (verbal knudge)
those who repeatedly add "you know" as a rhetorical tic to the ends of whatever it is they're currently warbling about
one quickly gets the sense they display a distinct lack of confidence in the world and their part in it
yet simultaneously seem desperately self assured about knowledge per se - specifically the knowledge and wisdom they've managed to scrape together
it's like a knudge to themselves not to ask "do you know what i mean" but rather somewhat more aggressively "you know what i mean"
a radical self assertion of their status as 'someone who continually knows what they're talking about'
their father figurine one suspects seems largely responsible for this mode of thinking
since he himself never appears to have had a single moment's doubt about his apparently universal knowlege
its unyeilding concrete slablike solidly which he would unceasingly bash the world around the face with
christ what a flocking bore
