# the death of authorship in indie video garming
to consider the death of obsolete linear / one dimensional 'authorship' in indie video garming
both "avoyd" (enkisoftware) and "somewhere" (oleomingus) are interesting for the ways they could easily evolve beyond the set design choices of ir creators eg. "this is an fps" "this is a stealth garme"
to reconsider indie garming as nonlinear series of evolving platforms 'services' or playgrounds that allow for multiple even simultaneous garme types or modes chosen by players - like gmod
to be conceptually open enough in approach means to easily allow and encourage what players want to play - and not merely design what they 'should' play
avoyd and somewhere are abstract enough in ir aesthetics to easily allow for player-based decisions over what's to be played - and how
'modding' not only signifies minor tweaks adjustments or improvements - but fundamental player-based garming decisions suited to immediate tastes needs and whims
organic ambient or evolving approaches mean no single / central developer or author 'making a (ie. singular) video garme'; rather garming something diffuse - design as another integral element of play
calling all developers: reconsider yourselves as simply other players in the crowd / cloud who help set up (social) garming spaces
