# popping jeff vogel's indie garming bubble
indie bubble popping a casual meta garme of the cultural industry that is indie garming
here's how jeff's garme of "let's have a serious talk about indie development" works
1. pull a dubious claim out of your arts about the automatic need talk about an important subject that apparently up until now has been sorely neglected by allegedly significant others with less foresight
2. give a brief history of your important subject from your own entirely arbitrarily constructed historical (pseudo) context
3. stick trivial / topic-unrelated images throughout your post; through ir very unseriousness they serve an ideological function of implying your flightless jeremiad be taken seriously

4. make random seemly factual statements about the problem and then begin expressing your concerns in earnest; it pays to be frank and earnest
5. state the problem 'in simple terms'; than sate that there's another dimension to the problem - aka "not only but also"
6. toss in a few other minor points and factoids highlighting the degree to which you've carefully considered the problem
7. state what you're saying - whatever it is - is the 'simple consequence of a long series of calm rational business decisions' (phew - thank goodness)
8. 'round up' by stating that you didn't even need to discuss the problem at all - because it's obvious to anyone else with your piercing unmuddied analytical intelligence - clear as an azure marble of deepest consideration
on the possibility of an indie garming bubble
perhaps to even suggest that an indie garming bubble exists is to make one manifest.. which then of course simply has to be burst
saying there's too many indie garmes is like saying there's too many web pages (oh wait)
indie garmes aren't just a matter of 'investment' or mere business; consider discussing them in strictly economic terms a deliberate attempt to undermine ir neo cultural legitimacy as art as human meaning
consider jeff vogel's serious article somewhat ridiculous and non essential - and bubble bobble mostly legitimate in its essential ridiculousness

consider quantum foam / indie development like a bubble in that i.t takes place on the hyper-surface of modern garming
