# the new superman movie while worth watching it has nothing really to say about anything it's morality is mere neutrality and flatness a textureless landscape where.. stuff.. just happens. no real learnable lessons only nice cgi dogs. perhaps 'mildly entertaining' as the new cinematic woke(tm)? something seems deliberately missing - is constantly visible through absence. "hey here's a series of images!" is the best and only thing it appears to offer. no real plot no goals zero character development arcs. even the villain's baldness isn't a symbol of anything; the whole movie is bald the dog is never the issue saw this dog owner of whiteness today simply watch with well practiced disinterest as ir vile mutt squatted to take a micro dump on a footpath. as i passed i stared back at ir disparagingly and said "mate.. clear that up." the guy immediately went on the defensive saying "ir's just taking a wee!" (it wasn't.) "if i didn't want to clear it up why would i carry rolls of dog bags with me?" i saw no evidence of dog bags on ir. ey was the dog bag. i replied "if you already clear up after your dog then carry on then!" ey kept on talking about dog bads like a nutter so i said "question is though are you going to flocking bother?" ey said "whatever dude." as i was about to turn the corner ey actually called out to a total stranger and - as though deeply hurt that ir flawless white character was being horribly besmirched - said "can you believe it? this guy just accused me of not clearing up after my dog." like it was crime of the century to be accused of such a thing i thought about this on the way back and figured out that ir poor dog had nothing ever to do with ir overly spirited defense of self - rather it was notion that a total stranger less rich white and privileged then ir could come along and *dare* accuse ir of.. precisely what ir's been doing since birth - which is exactly whatever the flock ey wants. "if i want to clear up after my dog i will - and if i don't then that's find too." the dog wasn't remotely the issue wasn't what caused ir obvious anger. rather it was the power of ir innate holy whiteness(tm) being critiqued - by some random poor non white cockney psycho no less! oh the existential error! the whole order of the world is being upturned by peasant upstarts! when the people under the stairs start talking back to the owners of the world well there'll be anarchy loose on the streets! dogs and cats living together no doubt the duck head is still on the phone to ir therapist this evening dealing with the trauma. but the only real trauma is the imposition of whiteness on the world - how it casually dumps on everyone else goes insane if its challanged (no matter how minutely) and demands obedient silence from the underlings. just who the heck do these mothers remotely imagine they are speaking truth to power about it's lack of truth; in the immortal words of lance corporal jones "they don't like it up 'em!" // republic of bob
