there's more to existence than survival" **+** possible idea: at some (hopefully non eye-rolling point) the journalist (somehow) gets the strong sense _she's talking to herself_ (the romero dawn-of-the-dead "they are us" position) **++** overall note: keep the dialog forward moving and minimal - this is not a 'talky' 'fancy' or 'slick' movie but 'plain' like the armish meets thx1138 **+** example twist: this entire movie was secretly orchestrated ('the massage is the medium') by an artificial general intelligence in order to gaslight everyone into imagining they've been (somehow) 'thinking critically about i.t' - and therefore everything's ok and it's time to move on; not only that (and here's the kicker?) someone in the town could be a human looking cyborg without an adequate past - omg is it the journalist themselves - are _they_ in fact the rogue ai 'cloud red' wants to win over and not the other way around?
